Subheadings like "Which is better for small teams" or "How pricing compares at scale" are far more useful than "Pricing" or "Features." Specific subheadings match how people phrase comparison questions. Separate the use cases. Rather than declaring one option universally better, map each option to the scenarios where it genuinely excels. This kind of nuanced framing is exactly what AI systems look for when constructing responses to comparison queries. Put the verdict somewhere findable. A clear recommendation, even a conditional one, should appear early and be easy to locate. AI systems surfacing comparison content in generated responses need a clear answer to work with.

Comparison content that leverages this by clearly establishing the entities being compared, referencing related entities accurately and using terminology that matches how the industry actually talks about these products will index more precisely.
This is not about keyword repetition. It is about using the right names, the right product version references, the right terminology for features and use cases. A comparison page that refers to features by their actual product names rather than generic descriptions is communicating to AI systems that it understands the subject matter with real specificity.
Schema markup for comparison content is still underused. Review schema, product schema, FAQ schema on the comparison questions section. These are not complicated additions but they materially improve how clearly AI systems can classify and use the page.
Comparison content has a credibility problem across the web. Readers have been burned enough times by biased reviews that scepticism is the default starting position. AI systems reflect that scepticism in how they evaluate comparison pages.
